Western Botanical Medicine is run by practitioners of herbal medicine who know that healing with herbs has to start with high quality efficacious herbal medicine. Western Botanical Medicine sources certified organic herbs from their CCOF certified organic herb farm, other certified organic herb growers and high quality herb suppliers. Some of the herbs harvested from their farm are made into fresh plant tinctures and are designated by the code SP ( Specific) on the tincture lists. Only certified organic, biodynamic or conscientiously wild crafted herb, certified organic alcohol/ethanol & the finest filtered spring water are used in the manufacture of the herbal extracts and tinctures.

PROCESS OF MANUFACTURE

Herbs are fully macerated in an alcohol and water mixture in stainless steel barrels and glass vessels for two weeks. They are then pressed in stainless steel vessels, and the resultant liquid (tincture) is filtered and bottled in glass. These tinctures are supplied in 4, 8, 16, & 32oz amber glass medical round bottles and plastic is never used as a storage medium for the tinctures.

QUALIFICATIONS AND LICENSES

 

The Herbal Medicine Practitioners who run Western Botanical Medicine both qualified with Honors from the

4 year full time degree programme in Herbal Medicine from The College of Phytotherapy in England, UK.

 

Practitioners are licensed Medical herbalists who are members of:

The College of Practicing Phytotherapists (MCPP)-England

(Associated with The European Herbal Practitioners Association)

 

and

The National Institute of Medical Herbalists (NIMH) founded 1864 -England.

 

Graduation from the four year honors degree programme from The College of Phytotherapy, grants application for membership to both the MCPP and the NIMH (the oldest regulating body of Medical Herbalists in the World) by invitation to join.
